Description

Amazing Adventures #1 (Ziff-Davis, 1950) CGC FN/VF 7.0 Cream to off-white pages. This truly remarkable comic, produced under the editorial direction of Superman co-creator Joe Shuster, is the first Ziff-Davis comic. Pulling out all the stops, Shuster used Z-D's top pulp cover artist, Allan Anderson, to paint the cover, and then packed the interior with one of the finest group of artists assembled for a single issue. This group included Wally Wood (premier EC artist), Alex Schomburg (premier Timely cover artist), Murphy Anderson (premier DC science fiction artist and inker), and Ogden Whitney (premier ACG cover artist). Alex Schomburg's participation is quite unusual as he only drew one other story besides the one in this issue. Overstreet 2002 FN 6.0 value = $219; VF 8.0 value = $455.
