    Description

Red Raven Comics #1 (Timely, 1940) CGC Apparent VF- 7.5 Moderate (P) Off-white to white pages. A singularly unique issue, the origin and first appearance of Red Raven is a hallmark of a great Golden Age collection, and a highly sought-after prize for the advanced collector, in any condition. Mercury, Human Top, Comet Pierce, and Magar make appearances in a book that features story and cover art by Jack Kirby (his first signed work) and Dick Briefer. This moderately restored copy presents very well in its CGC holder. CGC notes, "Restoration includes: small amount of color touch, pieces added, tear seals, cover cleaned, reinforced." Overstreet 2013 GD 2.0 value = $1,500; VG 4.0 value = $3,000; FN 6.0 value = $4,500; VF 8.0 value = $11,250.
