Babe Ruth Sports Comics #1 File Copy (Harvey, 1949) CGC VF+ 8.5 Light tan to off-white pages. OK, what's odd about this blurb: "Babe Ruth shows you how to play championship basketball." Obviously the Bambino had skills we never suspected! This is the first time we've seen this issue, and it's got the only basketball cover of the series' run. Bob Powell contributed interior art to the issue. Whatever led to this book being graded "only" 8.5, it's certainly not the cover, which appears flawless. Overstreet 2006 VF 8.0 value = $244; VF/NM 9.0 value = $382. CGC census 3/06: 1 in 8.5, 2 higher.CGC Grader Notes:
