New Comics #4 (DC, 1936) CGC Apparent FN 6.0 Slight (P) Off-white to white pages. One of the first comic book titles, and DC's second, New Comics begat New Adventure Comics which begat Adventure Comics which went on to prosper and endure all of four decades plus parts of two others. Gerber's The Photo-Journal Guide of Comic Books lists this as a "scarce" issue, and the latest CGC census data available shows only one other copy has even been graded. As for the restoration, CGC notes, "Restoration includes piece added, spine splits sealed, cover reinforced." Historically significant? You bet, and, oh, so affordable. Overstreet 2002 FN 6.0 value = $1,725.
