War Victory Adventures #1 File Copy (Harvey, 1942) CGC FN+ 6.5 Cream to off-white pages. The first issue of three is actually titled War Victory Comics. Promoting War Savings Bonds, and with all profits going to the U.S.O. and to Army and Navy relief funds, the series featured some of the most famous syndicated cartoonists on some of the most famous titles, such as Blondie, Joe Palooka, Green Hornet, Dick Tracy, Superman, and others. Despite lots of white on the front and back covers, this copy presents initially as high-grade. Closer inspection reveals some very light creasing at the top corners of the front and back, some minimal wear around the edges, and stresses along the spine consistent with the CGC-assigned grade. Still, this is the only copy of the special issue to be certified by CGC to date, so this might be the nicest copy in existence. Overstreet 2003 FN 6.0 value = $120.
