Super Comics #13-24 Bound Volume (Dell, 1939-40). The second volume of Super Comics from June, 1939 to May, 1940, featuring more reprinted adventures of Dick Tracy, Terry and the Pirates, Smilin' Jack, Little Orphan Annie, and more. The comics were Western Publishing file copies that were bound and trimmed into a hardback book designed for office reference use; most of the comics still retain their original luster and gloss. A small drawback was a bit of moisture damage that has stained a portion of the top edge of the comics, soaking through about a quarter-inch; this is a very minor distraction and does not affect the ability to read the pages. Once again, this title precedes the use of the Dell name or logo; making this a very historic volume of early comic books. Overstreet 2005 VG 4.0 value for group = $1,056.
