Military Comics #17 Mile High pedigree (Quality, 1943) CGC NM 9.4 White pages. While Will Eisner's name doesn't appear in this issue's credits, his stamp is all over the comic. For one, it stars the Blackhawk team he created; for another, this cover, credited to Reed Crandall, shows the group's name integrated into the art in a very Eisner-esque fashion. And Eisner's old strip "Private Dogtag" even appears among the backup features. Also of note is that the "P.T. Boat" feature started with this issue. This is the only copy of the comic that's been certified with a grade above 6.0 as of this writing. Overstreet 2005 NM- 9.2 value = $975.
