    Description

Military Comics #1 (Quality, 1941) CGC FN 6.0 Off-white pages. This is one of the biggies from the Golden Age of comics, the book that introduces Blackhawk, one of the few heroes who moved effortlessly through the Golden Age, through the comic industry's troubled pre-code days, through the Silver Age and beyond. The great Will Eisner provides the cover, and the interior is augmented by the works of Jack Cole, Fred Guardineer, and Bob Powell (as Bud Ernest). This may be the best-looking Fine copy of a comic you will find. Minor defects do not detract from the gorgeous cover colors, but do add up to keep the overall grade in the upper mid-grade area. Overstreet 2002 FN 6.0 value = $2,655.
