    Military Comics #1 Mile High Pedigree (Quality, 1941) CGC NM+ 9.6 White pages. This Edgar Church copy is the highest-graded one certified by CGC to date, with the runner-up landing at VF/NM 9.0. It features the origin and first appearance of the high-flying hero Blackhawk. One of the enduring greats of the Golden Age, his exploits were in continual publication well into the 1980s and are currently being developed as a feature film by Steven Spielberg. Miss America and Death Patrol backup stories began here as well. Will Eisner provide the story and cover, while Jack Cole, Fred Guardineer, Henry Kiefer, Klaus Nordling, and Bob Powell contributed story art. Overstreet 2019 NM- 9.2 value = $8,700. CGC census 3/20: 1 in 9.6, none higher.
