    Description

Marvel Tales #100 (Atlas, 1951) CGC VF+ 8.5 Cream to off-white pages. Timely's classic superhero title had succumbed to the horror craze at this point, but they were able to do horror quite well too. This high-grade gem has maintained decent page quality, which does not happen often with Atlas comics of this time period. CGC has yet to grade one higher than this one, so this is obviously at the top of the heap of the few remaining copies. Overstreet 2002 VF 8.0 value = $406; NM 9.4 value = $720. From the collection of Bobby Harmon.

I have done a preliminary analysis and the total of the hammer prices was $67,550. With BP, the final figure was $80,722.25. That is against the total insurance value of $34,785 or 2.32 x ‘pre-auction estimate’. Incredible, really, so a big thanks.
