    Description

Mad #1 (EC, 1952) CGC FN 6.0 Off-white pages. This first satire comic is the key book in the satirical humor genre of comics. This book is sharp, with a clean back cover, spine, and cover surface. The only thing dropping it to a Fine is a small crease in the lower corner; it's definitely a solid grade, which many might grade higher. Coming from a collector who was a true EC fanatic, this book has five autographs: Al Feldstein, Harvey Kurtzman [signed Kurtz], Will Elder, John Severin, and "Jack Davis 2000" on the cover in the "M" in Mad. Overstreet 2002 FN 6.0 value = $1,560.
