Jumbo Comics #9 (Fiction House, 1939) CGC FN/VF 7.0 Light tan to off-white pages. This was the only issue of the series produced in this wider-than-normal format, and perhaps the only comic ever. That made it much more difficult to properly store, making high-grade copies very scarce. In fact, it has a Gerber Photo-Journal Guide to Comic Books scarcity rating of "8" or "rare". We have sold a few copies, but all were in relatively rough shape compared to this gem. Last year, a CGC-graded VF- 7.5 copy sold for $13,656, so we expect jumbo prices for this copy! Will Eisner and Lou Fine provided the Sheena cover, her first cover appearance anywhere, and Stuart Taylor, by Lou Fine, begins a run in the title. This was the first color issue of the title. Overstreet 2018 FN 6.0 value = $2,814; VF 8.0 value = $7,500. CGC census 11/18: 2 in 7.0, 1 higher.
