Peanuts #1 (United Feature Syndicate, 1953) CGC VF+ 8.5 Off-white to white pages. This is an extremely early comic book appearance, and the very first comic book devoted entirely to Charles Schulz's Peanuts characters, and with the demand for Peanuts strips and original art at a near peak, don't expect to pick this "top-of-the-census" copy up for even the Overstreet NM- 9.2 price ($12,000) -- another 8.5 copy sold back in 2013 for $13,145! A great cover wraps this "only issue of the title" by UFS (just look how cute Snoopy is!). Not only is it a great cover, but it's in great shape too... in fact, it's currently tied for the highest CGC-grade, with the next closest being a FN/VF 7.0! Charles Schulz reprints inside. Overstreet 2017 VF 8.0 value = $4,738; VF/NM 9.0 value = $8,369. CGC census 11/17: 2 in 8.5, none higher.CGC Grader Notes:
