New Book of Comics #2 (DC, 1938) CGC VG 4.0 Cream to off-white pages. It's from 1938; it pre-dates Action Comics #1; and it's rated a Gerber "8" of "rare" -- need we say any more? It's the last issue of the title's short run and features Dr. Occult (a Superman prototype) reprints from More Fun Comics #15 and 16. Joe Shuster and Vincent Sullivan art.
