Gay Comics #18 (Timely, 1944) CGC VF 8.0 Cream to off-white pages. Only one CGC copy tops this stunningly scarce specimen; featuring a Basil Wolverton cover and art, this Timely is so rare that it's likely never been seen by many bidders. This is only the third copy we've ever offered and the first since 2007, as well as one of only six on the CGC Census. As well, this was ranked a Gerber "7" or "scarce", and was a Gerber "white space", one of the few books in the Photo-Journal Guide to Comic Books without a photo! GPAnalysis has only recorded four public sales of CGC-graded copies, and the incredible rarity makes it impossible to predict just how high bidding will go on this impressive Timely. Overstreet 2023 VF 8.0 value = $454. CGC census 5/24: 1 in 8.0, 3 higher.
