Archie #4 (Archie, 1943) CGC GD/VG 3.0 Off-white to white pages. This issue is a Gerber "7", and one of the hardest books to find of the title's 60-year (and counting) run. The cover by Harry Sahle shows just how early in Archie history the comic is -- Jughead still had a bulbous nose, and Betty was still a strawberry blonde! The interior art is also by Sahle, with a one-page contribution by Archie's creator, Bob Montana. This is the only copy of this issue that CGC has certified to date. CGC notes, "cover detached." Overstreet 2004 GD 2.0 value = $132; VG 4.0 value = $264.

View the certification for CGC Certification ID 0093187007 and purchase grader's notes if available.
