    Description

All-Negro Comics #1 (All-Negro Comics, 1947) CGC GD+ 2.5 Cream to off-white pages. In coins, stamp and pretty much every other areas of collectibles the rarity factor rules the roost. That is not the case in comics... yet. Some day in the near future comic collectors will realize that there are not enough of certain issues to go around and prices will skyrocket accordingly. Get the jump on the trend with this book. This book is actually listed in The Photo-Journal Guide to Comic Books as being a "9" on the Gerber scarcity index. What that means is that Ernie Gerber estimated less than ten copies of this issue actually survived the ravages of time. The nature of the book itself lends to the fact that it was probably scarce from the moment it hit the stands. It is directed at a small portion of the population and the cover price, 15 cents, was a nickel more than the other titles on the stands. It is also listed as rare in The Overstreet Price Guide. Most known copies have brown pages so this already has an advantage over the others, having cream to off-white pages. This title is rarely found in better than FN condition but this clean copy is actually very nice for the grade assigned. Not too many collectors can boast owning a copy of this book so here is your chance to add your name to that select few. Overstreet 2002 GD 2.0 value = $625.
