    Description

Weird Science 13 (#2) Gaines File pedigree 4/10 (EC, 1950) CGC NM+ 9.6 Off-white to white pages. For the first eight issues of the "New Trend" title, the twenty-five year-old Al Feldstein played a major role, both creating distinctive covers and penciling stories that he and other twisted EC writers were scripting. This copy is so impressive, it's not clear why CGC assigned "only" a NM+ 9.6 to it. The rich, blinding colors of the cover logo momentarily overshadow Feldstein's wry scene of flying saucers over Washington, but only momentarily. We can't imagine the second issue of this famous title ever having looked better than this offering. Overstreet 2003 NM 9.4 value = $1,150.
