    Description

Three Dimensional Tales from the Crypt of Terror #2 Gaines File pedigree 9/12 (EC, 1954) CGC VF+ 8.5 Off-white to white pages. 2 pairs of glasses included. Very rare in this condition. This is a most brutal cover depicting a madman swinging an axe repeatedly into a coffin by Jack Davis. Because of the extreme violence this cover was self-censored; streams of blood and the figure of a woman's body in the coffin were removed. Bill Elder and "Ghastly" Graham Ingels lend their hands by providing some interior artwork too. Overstreet 2003 VF 8.0 value = $531; VF/NM 9.0 value = $753.
