The Thing! #6 (Charlton, 1953) CGC NM 9.4 Cream to off-white pages. This beauty is unusual not only for its Near Mint grade, but for the manufacturing error that resulted in all interior pages being upside down. Or, if you prefer, you can say the cover is upside down. And a terrific Bob Forgione cover it is, whether or not you stand on your head to take in the bright, crisp colors. Dick Giordano helps with interior art. And, of interest to all you forensic anthropologists, Overstreet advises, "Excessive violence, severed heads, injury to eye are common No. 5 on." This is the nicest copy of the few that CGC has certified to date of issue #6. Overstreet 2002 NM 9.4 value = $525.
