Suspense #3 (Atlas, 1950) CGC VF+ 8.5 Off-white to white pages. We hadn't seen a high-grade copy of this issue before, and our offering is the only copy that CGC has certified as of this writing. Issue #3 marked the first in a horror format, and a shrunken head cover is your clue that some bad juju awaits the characters inside. Also in these pages is "The Creature Who Didn't Exist," a decade before the famous "Zzutak, The Thing That Shouldn't Exist." A blurb trumpets the tie-in to the "Suspense" show that ran for over 20 years on the radio and had a five-year run on CBS-TV as well. Overstreet 2006 VF 8.0 value = $234; VF/NM 9.0 value = $355. CGC census 1/06: 1 in 8.5, none higher.
