Haunt of Fear #26 Gaines File Pedigree 12/12 (EC, 1954) CGC VF/NM 9.0 White pages. This is the highest graded copy we've seen of this issue in over five years. Contains a parodic anti-censorship editorial called "Are You a Red Dupe?" aimed at pinning the rising calls for comic censorship on Communists, citing derision from the socialist "Daily Worker" and Dr. Frederick Wertham himself (notably, prior to the publication of Seduction of the Innocent). Graham Ingels provides the cover, featuring a zombified wife politely removing her shoes upon entry to her home, and interior art by Ingels, Jack Davis, Jack Kamen, and Reed Crandall. Overstreet 2024 VF/NM 9.0 value = $584; NM- 9.2 value = $800. CGC census 10/25: 6 in 9.0, 8 higher.CGC Grader Notes:
