Description
Amazing Ghost Stories #14 (St. John, 1954) CGC FN- 5.5 Off-white to white pages. There's no doubt that the classic monster film The Creature from the Black Lagoon (released the same year as this comic), had an influence on the cover image by the great Matt Baker. This first issue of the title contains an adaptation of the short story "Pit and the Pendulum" by Edgar Allen Poe, drawn by Everett Raymond Kinstler. Currently #10 on Overstreet's Top 10 Horror Comics list. Overstreet 2024 FN 6.0 value = $2,433. CGC census 1/25: 3 in 5.5, 9 higher.CGC Grader Notes:
