    Description

Four Color #9 "Donald Duck Finds Pirate Gold" (Dell, 1942) CGC VF- 7.5 Off-white pages. The reason this is the most valuable comic of the series' 1,300-plus issue run is because it has Carl Barks' very first Donald Duck story! Barks, not yet a comic book artist at this early date, shared art chores with Jack Hannah here, of course Barks would soon go down in comic history as the "Good Duck Artist." A milestone for any Disney collector! Overstreet 2006 VF 8.0 value = $6,370. CGC census 2/07: 4 in 7.5, 11 higher.
