Flash Comics #2 Mile High pedigree (DC, 1940) CGC NM 9.4 White pages. Hawkman's first full comic book cover came in this issue, his second appearance.

Having seen the copy just below this one on the census at NM- 9.2, it is hard to believe just one grade separates them. The Mile High has much better corners, a much nicer spine, and better page quality, and then there's the fact that the red area at the top looks absolutely immaculate here. This copy was pictured in Gerber's Photo-Journal, as well it should have been, as this is undoubtedly the finest surviving specimen of the issue.

This is the second appearance of the Flash, seen in a vignette on the cover. Dennis Neville is the cover artist. CGC notes, "Very minor amount of glue on spine of cover." Overstreet 2008 NM- 9.2 value = $13,500. CGC census 7/08: 1 in 9.4, none higher.
