Detective Comics #38 (DC, 1940) CGC GD 2.0 Brittle pages. It's just the second unrestored copy we have offered since early 2018, and the other was a FR 1.0. This issue, that is currently ranked #24 on Overstreet's list of Top 100 Golden Age Comics, just keeps outperforming Overstreet Guide values in all grades -- by a lot! Fairly recently a 3.0 copy realized over $50,000. The big deal here is the origin and first appearance of Robin (Dick Grayson). Bob Kane and Jerry Robinson cover and art. Fred Guardineer art. CGC notes, "Tape on interior cover & interior." Overstreet 2019 GD 2.0 value = $11,250. CGC census 3/20: 3 in 2.0, 47 higher.
