One of the most sought-after issues of DC's namesake title featured this classic and often imitated cover by Bob Kane. It also includes the first appearances of the Batplane, the Batarang, Julie Madison, and the Monk, Batman's first super-powered foe. There's also a Slam Bradley story by Superman co-creators Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster. Currently listed at #10 on Overstreet's Top 100 Golden Age Comics list. CBCS notes, "Amateur Restoration Includes: Color touch on cover, pieces added to cover, tear seals, cover & centerfold reinforced, cover cleaned. Centerfold married & trimmed on bottom edge."
