    Detective Comics #27 (DC, 1939) CGC Apparent NM- 9.2 Extensive (A-5) Off-white pages. This is the most attractive copy we've ever seen! CGC has certified just four copies -- unrestored and restored -- at 9.2! It's the #2 comic book issue on Overstreet's Top 100 Golden Age Comics list, and more than a few collectors think it should be #1. The Batman made his first appearance, as did his longtime ally Commissioner James Gordon. Bob Kane cover, with Kane, Joe Shuster, and Fred Guardineer interior art. CGC notes, "Restoration includes: color touch, pieces added, tear seals, cleaned, reinforced." and "Cover & Centerfold Married."
