    Detective Comics #225 (DC, 1955) CBCS VF+ 8.5 Off-white to white pages. There was a time when this issue was considered to signal the dawning of the Silver Age of comics. After all, Showcase #4, now generally recognized as the first Silver Age comic book, would not hit the stands for another year. Featuring Batman and Robin, this issue contains the origin and first appearance of J'onn J'onzz, the Martian Manhunter. Win Mortimer provided the cover art, and Joe Certa and Sheldon Moldoff did interior art for the issue. Overstreet 2016 VF 8.0 value = $5,000; VF/NM 9.0 value = $10,000.
