Detective Comics #22 Billy Wright Pedigree (DC, 1938) CGC FN/VF 7.0 Off-white to white pages. Talk about "important"! This is just the second superhero cover in the history of comics! It's tied for that honor with Action #7, with of course only Action #1 coming earlier. Before Batman came along, this title had the Crimson Avenger, and this is his only cover appearance of the series (although a few steadfast collectors insist that the masked fellow on the cover of issue #34 is the Avenger). Jim Chambers is the cover artist for the book. Bob Kane, Joe Shuster, and Fred Guardineer art. This is the fourth copy that we have ever offered! Overstreet 2015 FN 6.0 value = $3,060; VF 8.0 value = $5,610. CGC census 5/16: 2 in 7.0, 2 higher.
