    Description

Detective Comics #137 (DC, 1948) CGC NM+ 9.6 White pages. Prior to seeing this mind-blowing book, the highest-graded copy of #137 that we had ever seen was a VF+ 8.5! So when we saw this non-pedigree show-stopper, our jaws hit the floor. This is the single highest-graded copy. Inside, Batman and Robin take on the Joker in the cover story, and Air Wave makes a last title appearance. Jim Mooney and Charles Paris did the Joker cover art, and Dick Sprang did interior art for the issue. An unbelievable find from the late 1940s. Overstreet 2015 NM- 9.2 value = $2,400. CGC census 5/16: 1 in 9.6, none higher.
