Detective Comics #104 (DC, 1945) CGC NM- 9.2 White pages. This original-owner copy is tied for the highest grade CGC has assigned to date, and we'll note that it's got better page quality than the very nice 9.2 Rockford copy! Dick Sprang drew both the cover and the accompanying story, in which Batman and Robin try to thwart some crooks who are using billboards as part of a blackmailing scheme. Backup features include Air Wave, Slam Bradley, and the Boy Commandos. Overstreet 2006 NM- 9.2 value = $985. CGC census 1/06: 2 in 9.2, none higher. From the Collection of Harold Curtis.
