    Description

Crime Patrol #11 (EC, 1949) CGC VF- 7.5 Cream to off-white pages. This book appears to be one of the least common of the pre-Trend EC issues -- there are just four copies total on CGC's census as of this writing. A couple of things that make this issue notable: a werewolf story with H. L. Larsen art represents an early experiment with horror, a genre that would be very good to EC. Then there's an Al Feldstein story with a lady who puts even the gals from Junior to shame... we think you get our drift! H. C. Kiefer drew a story as well. The cover's by Johnny Craig. Overstreet 2006 VF 8.0 value = $369. CGC census 10/06: 1 in 7.5, 2 higher.

I have done a preliminary analysis and the total of the hammer prices was $67,550. With BP, the final figure was $80,722.25. That is against the total insurance value of $34,785 or 2.32 x ‘pre-auction estimate’. Incredible, really, so a big thanks.
