Cover Proof/Color Separations for Black Cat Mystery #41, Artwork by Joe Simon (Harvey, 1952). A giant black bat, the "Beast of Doom," swoops down on an unsuspecting workman on this superb pre-Code horror cover. This lot includes seven pages: a full-color cover proof, proofs of the black plate (line art with no color), and the complete color plate (all colors with no black line art), plus the four color separation pages (C, M, Y, and K), all printed on white paper. All these pages have been stapled together along with a cover sheet from the Koppel Photo-Engraving Company, who obviously did all of Harvey's printing at that time. Condition overall is excellent, with light overall wear to the pages. Please note that this does not include a copy of the comic, only the pages as listed here.
