Classics Illustrated #74 Mr. Midshipman Easy - Original Edition - Davis Crippen ("D" Copy) pedigree (Gilberton, 1950) CGC Qualified VF- 7.5 Off-white pages. This is the only CGC-certified copy of this issue (Qualified or otherwise), and the green label was assigned for the price sticker, something we've seen on blue-label books in the past. At any rate, this issue's 8/50 date puts it just a few months before the price of the line was raised to 15 cents -- since the higher price is also stamped on the back cover, it's fair to assume this one was ordered as a back issue from the ubiquitous back-cover ad. Note that this is the first and only edition. CGC notes, "Price sticker on cover." Overstreet 2006 VF 8.0 value = $199. From the Crippen Collection.

View the certification for CGC Certification ID 0009325009 and purchase grader's notes if available.
