    Classics Illustrated #1-80 Bound Volumes (Gilberton, 1946-51). This great set of bound volumes includes the first 80 issues of the long-running series that have been trimmed and bound into a set of five hardcover volumes. The HRNs range from 36 to 131, with many of the later issues being first editions. Highlights include copies of issues #8 ("Arabian Nights", HRN 78), #14 ("Westward Ho!", HRN 36), #21 ("3 Famous Mysteries", HRN 70), #26 ("Frankenstein", HRN 60), #33 ("Adventures of Sherlock Holmes", HRN 71), #40 ("Mysteries", HRN 92), and #43 ("Great Expectations", HRN 62). The volumes are in nice overall condition, with a moderate amount of wear and tear. Approximate Overstreet VG 4.0 value for group = $2,000.
