    Classic Comics and Classics Illustrated Group (Elliot and Gilberton, 1943-46). An Original Edition of #11 ("Don Quixote"; FN-, appears VF- but has a two-inch spine split at the bottom) is the highlight of this group of Classics. Also included here are Original Editions of #35 ("The Last Days of Pompeii"; FN) and #36 ("Typee"; FR/GD); HRN 10 printings of #1 ("The Three Musketeers"; FN); #2 ("Ivanhoe"; Qualified VF with detached centerfold); #3 ("The Count of Monte Cristo"); and #5 ("Moby Dick"); the HRN 12 printing of #4 (VG, manufactured without a staple); the HRN 15 printings of #12 ("Rip Van Winkle and the Headless Horseman") and #13 ("Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde," considered the first horror comic; used in Seduction of the Innocent); HRN 28 printings of #1 (GD), #2 (VG/FN), #5 (GD), #9 ("Les Miserables," GD), #10 ("Robinson Crusoe," used in Seduction of the Innocent; GD/VG); #11 (VG), #12 (VG+), #13 (VG+), #14 ("Westward Ho"; VG), #15 ("Uncle Tom's Cabin," GD); #16 ("Gulliver's Travels"; FN), #18 ("The Hunchback of Notre Dame," FN); and #20 ('The Corsican Brothers," VG+); and the HRN 30 printings of #21 ("3 Famous Mysteries," FR) and #22 ("The Pathfinder; FR/GD).
