    Classic Comics #29-42 Bound Volume (Gilberton, 1946-47). These are original first printings of these early Classic Comics and Classics Illustrated (the title changed with issue #35). The comics include #29 ("The Prince and the Pauper," with the original "horror" cover), 30 ("The Moonstone"), 31 ("The Black Arrow"), 32 ("Lorna Doone"), 33 ("The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes," featuring the later-deleted story "A Study in Scarlet"), 34 ("Mysterious Island," the last issue to be called Classic Comics), 35 ("Last Days of Pompeii"), 36 ("Typee"), 37 ("The Pioneers"), 38 ("Adventures of Cellini"), 39 ("Jane Eyre"), 40 ("Mysteries," by Edgar Allan Poe), 41 ("Twenty Years After," with the original "horror" cover), and 42 ("Swiss Family Robinson"). All copies appear to have been FN/VF or better when bound, and were not trimmed during binding. All feature supple pages. Overstreet VG 4.0 value for group = $1,190.
