    Description

Classic Comics #14 Westward Ho! - Original Edition (Gilberton, 1943) CGC VF/NM 9.0 Cream to off-white pages. This version of Charles Kingsley's 1855 historical adventure novel features cover and interior art by Allen Simon. This sharp-looking first-edition copy possesses wonderful cover gloss and eye appeal. The back cover represents the last of Classic Comics' "coming attractions" back covers; Uncle Tom's Cabin is previewed, with a wildly dancing Topsy to entice return readers. A beautiful copy, currently the highest-graded by CGC. Overstreet 2006 VF/NM 9.0 value = $1,866; NM- 9.2 value = $2,550. CGC census 3/06: 1 in 9.0, none higher.
