Description
Four Color (Series One) #4 Donald Duck - Davis Crippen ("D" Copy) pedigree (Dell, 1940) CGC FN- 5.5 Cream to off-white pages. This specimen is just a half-grade below the finest known copy of the issue! This early Donald Duck appearance, drawn by Al Taliaferro, is on Overstreet's list of the 100 most valuable Golden Age comics. Overstreet notes, "prices vary widely on this book," and in our experience the variation has all been in one direction, namely upward. Overstreet 2006 FN 6.0 value = $3,000.
