    Captain America Comics #1 (Timely, 1941) CGC Apparent FN 6.0 Moderate (P) Cream to off-white pages. It's an image that's ingrained in any serious Golden Age collector's brain - the cover image of Captain America #1, with America's most famous patriotic hero socking it to der Führer. Jack Kirby provided the classic cover, and he and Joe Simon contributed the script and inside art. The origin and first appearance of Captain America is here, as is the first appearance of the Red Skull. This attractive copy has had professional restoration. CGC notes, "Restoration includes: color touch, pieces added, tear seals, cleaned, reinforced." Overstreet 2009 GD 2.0 value = $8,200; VG 4.0 value = $16,400; FN 6.0 value = $24,600.
