Batman #8 (DC, 1942) CGC FN+ 6.5 Off-white to white pages. Everyone loves this issue, including Batman and Robin themselves (see: infinity cover)! In the early run of this title, Joker stories ruled the day, and that Fiendish Funster is on hand once again in this issue, in which he actually tries to assassinate Batman, and ends up shooting one "G. Henry Mover" (any resemblance to real-life FBI chiefs is strictly coincidental, wink, wink) in the process! The issue's cover is by Fred Ray and Jerry Robinson; interior artists include Robinson, Bob Kane, and George Roussos.Overstreet 2006 FN 6.0 value = $1,083; VF 8.0 value = $2,347. CGC census 2/06: 5 in 6.5, 11 higher. From the Collection of Harold Curtis.
