    Description

Batman #66 (DC, 1951) CGC FN/VF 7.0 Off-white pages. When the Joker botches a robbery attempt, does it make him mad? No, it just gives him an idea for a new crime spree, this time based on the great errors of history! That's not all this 52-pager has to offer, though: there's also a tale centered on Commissioner Gordon in which Batman has to pose as Gordon to trap a criminal. And if you're wondering what Overstreet's cryptic notation "Pre-2nd Batman & Robin team try-out" is all about, it refers to another backup feature, in which Robin dreams of becoming the new Batman in the future and having a sidekick of his own, an "imaginary" concept that would later be revisited. The Joker cover is by Dick Sprang. Overstreet 2006 FN 6.0 value = $255; VF 8.0 value = $531. CGC census 3/07: 3 in 7.0, 15 higher. From the Warren Hall Collection.
