    Description

Batman #11 (DC, 1942) CGC FN/VF 7.0 White pages. Looks like the Joker was dealt a losing hand on this classic Joker cover (his third cover appearance ever) by Fred Ray. But the real winners here are the page quality and the bidder who gets this pretty book. The Penguin puts in an appearance, and there's art by Bob Kane, George Roussos, and Jerry Robinson. We expect to see bids in five figure range for this copy! Overstreet 2016 FN 6.0 value = $3,000; VF 8.0 value = $7,400. CGC census 8/16: 9 in 7.0, 19 higher.

I have done a preliminary analysis and the total of the hammer prices was $67,550. With BP, the final figure was $80,722.25. That is against the total insurance value of $34,785 or 2.32 x ‘pre-auction estimate’. Incredible, really, so a big thanks.
