    Batman #1 (DC, 1940) CGC GD+ 2.5 Cream to off-white pages. It's one of the biggest, baddest Golden Age books of all, currently ranked #4 on Overstreet's Top 100 Golden Age Comics list. Although the Dark Knight first appeared the previous year in Detective Comics #27, both the Joker and the Cat (later Catwoman) made their debuts here. The classic cover is by Bob Kane and Jerry Robinson, who also contributed story art. CGC notes, "1 piece of tape on interior cover." Overstreet 2020 GD 2.0 value = $57,300. CGC census 9/20: 9 in 2.5, 57 higher.
