Batman #1 (DC, 1940) CGC GD 2.0 White pages. Not unexpectedly, the DC Golden Age Key moved up a spot in the latest edition of Overstreet's Top 100 Golden Age Comics list. It's now tied for #4 with another DC Key, All-American Comics #16. Recent auctions have seen copies in most any grade (including Poor) far exceeding even the 2021 updated Overstreet values. It's a book of firsts: the first issue of the title, along with the first appearances of the Joker and the Cat (aka Catwoman). Co-creator Bob Kane and Jerry Robinson provided the classic cover and interior art. CGC notes, "Tape on interior cover." Overstreet 2021 GD 2.0 value = $61,500.
