Description

Batman #1 (DC, 1940) CGC FN 6.0 Off-white pages. This is the nicest unrestored copy of the Golden Age treasure that we've offered in over a year. The fact is, there are relatively fewer higher-graded copies known, as our archives of over 20+ years shows. The issue is notoriously difficult to find in any unrestored grade. Featured are the first appearances of the Joker and the Cat (aka Catwoman). The classic cover is by co-creator Bob Kane and Jerry Robinson, who also teamed up for interior art. The important book is currently tied for #4 on Overstreet's list of Top 100 Golden Age Comics. Overstreet 2022 FN 6.0 value = $201,000. CGC census 11/22: 3 in 6.0, 22 higher.
