Archie Shoe-Store Giveaway February 1948 (Archie, 1948) CGC VF/NM 9.0 White pages. Here's a promotional issue we've never seen before. Multiple issues of the title were published between 1948-50. Archie has a thing for Peggy Lee on this partial photo cover.. but Archie, what about Veronica and Betty? CGC titles this issue Archie Your Official Store Club Magazine, while Overstreet has it listed under Archie Shoe-Store Giveaway. Archie books have been garnering multiples of Guide values as of late, and Overstreet notes of a similar promotional Archie from 10/48 "a CGC 7.5 copy sold for $1912 in February of 2013". Overstreet 2017 VF/NM 9.0 value = $216. CGC census 1/18: 1 in 9.0, none higher. From the Steve Barghusen Collection.
