    Description

All Star Comics #8 (DC, 1942) CGC FN- 5.5 Cream to off-white pages. Is there a more undervalued Golden Age key out there? The origin and first appearance of Wonder Woman is the big deal, and it's not an easy book to find in nice grade. There are presently only 84 blue label copies on the census, just 16 of which grade higher than our offering. It currently ranks 'just' #21 on Overstreet's Top 100 Golden Age Comics list -- we're predicting it will be moving up. Wonder Woman's status as the world's foremost female superhero will only be enhanced by her upcoming film appearance. The cover's by E. E. Hibbard, who also contributes interior art along with Jack Burnley, Sheldon Moldoff, Bernard Baily, and H. G. Peter. Overstreet 2014 FN 6.0 value = $13,500. CGC census 11/14: 7 in 5.5, 16 higher. From the Greg Reece Collection.

I have done a preliminary analysis and the total of the hammer prices was $67,550. With BP, the final figure was $80,722.25. That is against the total insurance value of $34,785 or 2.32 x ‘pre-auction estimate’. Incredible, really, so a big thanks.
