    Description

Adventures Into The Unknown #1 (ACG, 1948) CGC FN/VF 7.0 Cream to off-white pages. Considered the first continuous-series supernatural comic title, AITU enjoyed a 19-year run, and it all began with this issue. Edvard Moritz provided the eerie cover, and Golden Age great Fred Guardineer contributed interior art. This is a very tough book to find in high grade -- CGC has certified only one copy nicer than VF 8.0 to date! This is one of the nicer known copies. Overstreet 2006 FN 6.0 value = $645; VF 8.0 value = $1,344. CGC census 3/07: 1 in 7.0, 4 higher. From the Cary and Cheryl Porter Collection.
